Overview
MS Trollfjord joined the Hurtigruten fleet in 2002 as sister ship to MS Midnatsol. Setting sail with a maximum of 822 passengers, this popular cruise ship takes in Norway's dramatic coastline and the wonders of the Arctic Circle. Step on board and discover a comfortable interior that showcases a beautiful two-tier lounge, exclusive concierge area, local Norwegian wood and stonework, and walls adorned with original art and photographs. Life on board is laid-back and friendly with a casual dress code and fully furnished cabins. MS Trollfjord focuses on vibrant and exciting experiences ashore, alongside amazing sights you can enjoy on deck as you cruise around Norway and beyond. Whatever time of year you choose, the Northern Lights in winter and summertime midnight sun are undoubtedly highlights of your cruise. Days at sea open up a world of relaxation. Relax on the sun deck during the summer and curl up with a book in the library on cooler days. Keep your family up-to-date with your adventures in the Internet cafe or simply watch the world float by in the chic Panorama Lounge. Food & Drink
Hearty Norwegian fare is the mainstay of the culinary experiences on MS Trollford. Saga Hall serves a tasty buffet for breakfast and lunch with Scandinavian delicacies such as fresh fish, meat, and shellfish dishes to savour. Evenings bring a daily-changing three-course menu of delicious starters, main courses and desserts served to your table. Viking Cafe is open around the clock with a selection of sandwiches, pasta dishes and soups, along with tea, coffee, cookies, and cakes. MS Trollfjord offers plenty of places to relax with a drink. The Fjord Bar on Deck Eight provides a relaxed setting with comfy seating and hot and cold drinks by day. In the evening, its a hub for pre-dinner drinks and occasional live music. The Espolin Bar is also on the same deck, while Polar Bar sits on Deck Nine and opens mainly during summer. All venues serve your favourite tipple, and a selection of cocktails, wines, spirits, and soft drinks.
Entertainment
Laid-back and casual sums up the entertainment scene on MS Trollfjord. The Panorama Lounge and Amfi Theatre both play host to seminars on local wildlife and natural phenomena, such as the stunning Northern Lights. Occasional live bands and piano music are the perfect background to your evenings on board, too.

Rooms

Expedition Suites

Luxurious, spacious, stylish, these suites are the finest on the ship and are all located on the upper deck for views to match. They feature seating areas with a TV, an espresso machine, a mini bar loaded with goodies, ensuite bathrooms, and soft, king-size beds.

Arctic Superior Cabins

Pure comfort is the hallmark of these cabins. Situated on almost every deck, they all have ensuite shower rooms, a TV, mini bar, and kettle with complimentary teas and coffees. Most of the cabins have double beds and some have separate beds.

Polar Outside Cabins

Our Polar Outside cabins are mostly on the lower decks. All have ensuite shower rooms. Most feature a window or small porthole for exterior views. Some views may be blocked by lifeboats and others may look out onto the mid-level walking deck.  

Polar Inside Cabins

These are similar in size to Polar Outside cabins, just without the window. Cabins may have twin single beds, one of which converts into a sofa, or have upper and lower berths with one bed above the other for a traditional sailing experience.

For unmatched luxury, you’ll want the owners suite. Exclusive to the upper deck, they consist of a comfortable lounge and the bedroom with ensuite bathtub. The added wow-factor is a private balcony from where you can watch the Norwegian coast go by.
