Hamburg has been an integral part of German trade since the Middle Ages and its strong maritime history can be seen throughout its culture, atmosphere and UNESCO-listed architecture today. Stroll through the legendary Fish Market, take a scenic barge tour, or visit one of many museum ships to learn more about Hamburg's seafaring past. Tower over Hamburg Airport and the Alps at the home of the largest model railway in the world — Miniatur Wunderland — or start at the Jungfernstieg in the city centre to find shops, cafes and multicultural restaurants.

Aarhus, Denmark

Today the ship docks in Aarhus — the Danish 'City of Smiles' - on the Jutland Peninsula. Old meets new in this charming city where Scandi-chic galleries rub shoulders with the old docks and Latin Quarter. Stroll around the Marselisborg Palace and the tranquil Aarhus Botanical Gardens. Get a culture fix at Den Gamle By Open-Air Museum and explore Danish art at Aarhus Art Museum. There's family-fun aplenty with the Haunted House and fairground rides at Tivoli Friheden amusement park. Travel inland to the picturesque lakeside city of Silkeborg to visit the pre-historic Tollund Man at the Silkeborg Museum.

Visby, Sweden

The walled town of Visby sits proudly on the island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is famed for its medieval trading houses, 17th and 18th-century timber buildings, and quaint cobblestoned streets. Tour the 700-year old walls that encircle the town and admire the 44 defensive towers that dot along the route. Admire the medieval ruins of St Nicolai and St Karin churches and the ancient St Mary's Cathedral. Pay a visit to the amazing exhibits at Gotlands Museum and view the 19th and 20th-century artworks at Konstmuseet Museum. Relax with a coffee as you watch the world go by in the vibrant Stora Torget main square.

Sweden's vibrant capital city, Stockholm, spans an archipelago of 14 islands on the Baltic Sea coastline. Filled with more than 40 bridges and many galleries, museums, gardens, and parks, this city is perfect for exploring. Looking for culture? Visit Vasa Museum, The Royal Palace, Drottningholm Palace, and Skansen — the world's first open-air museum. If you're a music fan, head to the popular ABBA Museum or go to Brunnsviken for a beautiful lake surrounded by cafes and botanical gardens. There are more than 1,000 restaurants dotted across the city, as well as streets of boutiques and designer stores on Drottninggatan — including the Nordiska Kompaniet and Åhléns department stores.

Oslo, Norway

Oslo, the capital of Norway, sits on the country’s southern coast at the head of the Oslofjord. The city is famous for its vast parks, verdant forests and hills, countless lakes, and eclectic mix of museums. Explore the Viking ships at the Viking House Museum and Norwegian Maritime Museum, learn about the German occupation of 1940-45 at Akershus Fortress' Museum of the Norwegian Resistance, and uncover 500 years of Norwegian culture at Norsk Folkemuseum. See the New National Museum's collections from the National Gallery, National Museum - Architecture, and contemporary art and design; view Norway's largest natural history collection at the Natural History Museum and Botanical Gardens, and enjoy the Ski Museum at the base of Holmenkollbakken ski jump. The name ‘Queen Anne’ celebrates Cunard’s rich heritage, royal history, and refined status – joining a luxury contemporary fleet now honouring the names of each Queen Regnant over the last millennium.

Their close relationship with the British monarchy is a key part of their heritage, and they pride themselves on a history that is closely interwoven with that of the nation. A fitting name for the fourth in a fleet of prestigious queens, Queen Anne was chosen because of the monarch’s many merits. Reigning between the years of 1702 and 1714, in just twelve short years Queen Anne achieved a great deal, including the unification of Great Britain and pushing forward the boundaries of arts and education, enabling great progress and change. An often overlooked and even mistreated sovereign, Queen Anne was indeed an accomplished and dedicated woman. Well-loved by the people, she was an example of true grace and refinement. Two qualities that are emulated by her namesake, their fourth ship.
