3
Haugesund, Norway
Discover the city of Haugesund, at the point where the fjords flow into the North Sea in the southwest of Norway. Haugesund is famed as 'Norway's Birthplace' and also boasts a proud Viking heritage, brought to life at Avaldsnes' Nordvegen History Centre on the nearby island of Karmoy. This vibrant city also hosts a few cultural and musical festivals throughout the year, the most famous being the Norwegian International Film Festival and Sildajazz Festival. Akrafjord and the Langfoss Waterfall are also within easy reach — nominated one of the ten most beautiful waterfalls in the world by CNN.
4
Skjolden, Sognefjord, Norway
Sognefjord is the world’s longest passable fjord which lies in the heart of the Norwegian fjord country, extending more than 200km inland. At the head of the fjord is the intimate, idyllic village of Skjolden. Seek beautiful views and stunning scenery at Jotunheimen National Park which features alpine mountain ranges, glaciers, lakes and waterfalls. Check out some of Norway’s highest waterfalls such as the almighty Feigumfossen which can be seen from the fjord. Or visit one of Norway’s oldest stave churches and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Urnes Stave Church. If you’d rather see the sights from a comfortable point of view, a ride on the Flam Railway and enjoy the magnificent scenery and charming vistas from the comfort of your seat.
5
Olden, Norway
Olden sits at the eastern end of the serene Nordfjord, where the water divides into three arms beneath the Jostedalsbreen glacier. The village is surrounded by green meadows with babbling brooks meandering between pretty houses. Visit the village centre to discover the 17th-century church and Singerheimen, which is the former home of the founder of the sewing machine company. Take to the Nordfjord for a rafting or kayaking adventure. Admire the green waters of Olden Lake and enjoy the cliffs and glaciers of the Oldedalen valley, which runs for 12 miles behind Olden. Walk among waterfalls and view the glistening blue ice at the impressive Briksdal Glacier — one of Norway's most visited sights.
6
Trondheim, Norway
Today gives you an opportunity to explore the city of Trondheim. The city walk through Trondheim is a journey through its 1000-year history. Back on board, the ship heads out of the majestic Trondheimsfjord, which is 170 kilometres long and up to 25 kilometres wide. Like all other Norwegian fjords it is deep, 577 metres at most. As we sail along the coast you’ll realise the importance of fish to Norwegian coastal communities. Kristiansund’s location has provided the town with a wealth of opportunities in the fishing, shipbuilding and oil industries. This town is now regarded as Norway’s ‘cured cod capital’ because of its long time export of salted dry fish. Here you can join a trip to the Atlantic Road, one of Norway’s most visited tourist destinations. As we cross the open sea to Molde, known as the ‘city of roses’, you will notice the steep, grey, pointed peaks of the Romsdal Alps.

8
Honningsvag, Norway
Honningsvag is your gateway to Norway's North Cape on Magerøya Island. This is the northernmost point in Europe, and the true land of the midnight sun. From mid-May to July, the full disc of the sun never dips below the horizon. In winter, the days barely lighten to a spectral gloom. To the north lies only the remote Svalbard Archipelago, Jan Mayan Island, and the polar ice cap. From the cliffs of North Cape, perched 1,000 feet above the Arctic Ocean, one stares into the arctic silence. During the summer months, vast reindeer herds roam Magerøya Island's treeless, central plateau.
9
Tromsø, Norway
Arrive in Tromsø - the 'Gateway to the Arctic'. Enjoy a thrilling husky sled ride through snow-covered landscapes from the Tromso Wilderness Centre or visit the iceberg-shaped Arctic Cathedral. Ride the cable car to the top of Mount Storsteinen for amazing views, admire the artworks at the Art Museum of Norway, or step back in time at Perspektivet Museum. Taste authentic local brews on a tour of Mack Brewery or get up close to local fish and bearded seals at Polaria Arctic Aquarium.
10
Gravdal, Norway
Gravdal is one of the largest villages in Vestvågøy and part of the Lofoten Archipelago in northern Norway. Gravdal serves as your gateway to the Lofoten Islands, the western remnants of great mountains that were worn away by glaciers. Lying entirely above the Arctic Circle, the islands' dramatic natural architecture of rocky peaks along with picturesque villages places this archipelago in a league of its own.

12
Alesund, Norway
Step ashore at the Norwegian port of Alesund. This fishing town is found spread across several islands and is generally considered Norway's most beautiful city. Renowned for its cultural festivals, Alesund was rebuilt in 1904 following a huge fire and now features stunning Art Nouveau architecture to explore. Walk up Mount Askla for spectacular views; see the time capsule and Viking ship replicas at Jugendstilsenteret and Sunnmore Museums; feed the fish at Atlanterhavsparken; and enjoy coffee and cake at a waterfront cafe. There are a variety of hiking, biking and kayaking excursions to enjoy here, as well as lively bars and top restaurants serving local and international dishes.
13
Bergen, Norway
The charming port city of Bergen is framed by seven hills on Norway's south-west shore. Bergen’s bustling waterfront and narrow streets of colourful half-timbered houses combine with a proud musical and maritime heritage. Ride the funicular railway up Mount Floyen for city views. Visit Troldhaugen Museum to see Edvard Grieg's musical heritage comes to life, or explore the artwork on display at KODE. The 900-year old Bryggen, a wharf that features museums and pubs, guides you through the city's sea-faring past, while locally-caught seafood can be found at Bergen Fish Market. Discover family fun at Bergen Science Centre and Bergen Aquarium, or explore the city's sights on a Segway tour.
