There is only one place in the world where travellers can experience the feeling of adding or losing a day within the span of a second. The International Date Line is the longitudinal boundary between where one day starts (to the west) and another day ends (to the east). Those travelling through the Pacific Ocean are often recommended to change their watch by 24 hours to stop the confusion of losing or gaining a day.
