St. George's, Grenada
Stop at St. George's on the 'Spice Island' of Grenada. Nestling alongside horseshoe-shaped Carenage harbour, the cobbled streets of St. George's are lined with pretty pastel-coloured heritage buildings. Step back in time at Grenada National Museum or explore Fort George and Fort Frederick. Head to the golden sand of Grand Anse Beach for a morning of sunbathing. The submerged gallery at Underwater Sculpture Park is a unique sight, or you can discover how the island's spices are grown and processed at Dougalston Spice Estate. Venture further to view local wildlife at Grand Etang National Park and cascading waters at Annandale Falls.
4
Kralendijk, Bonaire
Kralendijk is the main port on the island of Bonaire in the Netherland Antilles. The population in Kralendijk is about 3,000 and there's even an uninhabited island — Klein Bonaire — not far from its coastline. During your time at Kralendijk, try fishing, kayaking, snorkelling, and windsurfing; visit Bonaire National Marine Park; and take a horse riding or off-road adventure tour to explore the area. You can visit landmarks including the protestant church and government house — both built in the 1800s — or stroll around the pretty Wilhelmina Park, which is named in honour of the former Dutch queen. Bari Reef is a great place for diving, while Lac Bay is a popular spot to have lunch and drinks in the sunshine.
5-6
Willemstad, Curaçao
Arrive in Willemstad — founded in 1634 and now the capital city of Curaçao. Explore the Hato Caves or see beautiful flora and fauna at Christoffel National Park. There are sea lions to visit at Curaçao Sea Aquarium; lots of shops at Punda; and a church and museum at the nearly 400-year-old Fort Amsterdam. Stroll by pastel-coloured buildings with a hint of Dutch design in the city centre and head to Maritime Museum or Kura Hulanda to learn about the island's history. You can buy souvenirs from Willemstad's floating market and even visit a distillery to try the local liquor. Sunbathe on the beach, have a go at snorkelling and diving, swim with dolphins, and dine on cuisine influenced by Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America.
7
At Sea
8
Cartagena, Colombia
Disembark in Colombia's Cartagena. Featuring cobbled streets, pretty plazas, old churches, and 13km of stone colonial walls; Cartagena is possibly the Caribbean coast's most beautiful destination. While here, visit the famous Palace of the Inquisition — which is a grisly museum featuring former instruments of torture from colonial times! Next, see one of Spain's greatest fortresses, Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, which dominates the skyline and includes a network of tunnels that you can enter. Do some more sightseeing and enjoy beautiful buildings such as a convent founded in the 17th century and a stunning cathedral. Enjoy the palaces, mansions and monasteries of the old town district — sampling local snacks and drinks on the way — or take a tour of the nearby mangroves and see colourful, local wildlife.
9
Colón, Panama
The Panamanian city of Colón sits near the Atlantic entrance to the Panama Canal. See the ruins of five Spanish forts by the bay and make the most of the white-sand beaches which have no tides. Visit the naturally-beautiful landscapes of Portobelo National Park and Chagres National Park, take a jungle tour to see indigenous wildlife or sail along the river in a traditional boat. The modern Colon 2000 cruise port features a large shopping complex where you can pick up duty-free bargains.
10
Puerto Limon, Costa Rica
The seventh largest city in Costa Rica, Puerto Limon is the capital city and main hub of Limon province. Home of the Afro-Costa Rican community, if you time your trip right you could celebrate Dia de la Raza and enjoy live music, dancing, and other carnival festivities. Discover a multitude of happening bars and restaurants along the shores of Playa Bonita, take in views from Sea Wall, and walk amongst the greenery facing the docks at Parque Vargas. Enjoy a boat trip to view the Leatherback, Hawksbill, and Green sea turtles at Tortuguero National Park or shop for gifts at Central Market. Discover colourful marine life and coral reefs at Cahuita National Park and the stunning rainforests in Talamanca Mountains to the south of the region.
11
At Sea
12-13
Oranjestad, Aruba
Today, you can admire the picture-perfect beaches and exotic flowers of Oranjestad — Aruba's main port and capital city. Stroll around the Dutch colonial buildings and shop for chocolates, Dutch-made porcelain, and jewellery — particularly gold which was mined here during the 19th century. If you love the sand and sea, you have Eagle Beach, Baby Beach and Arashi Beach all within easy reach. Step on the ferry to Palm Island and relax on white sand or splash around at the water park. Take an off-road vehicle tour of the wild north-east coast or visit a former gold mine. You can also explore the Quadiriki and Fontein Caves at Arikok National Park; get close to animals at Donkey Sanctuary Aruba and Aruba Ostrich Farm; and dine at one of the city's seafood restaurants on the waterfront.

15
Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago
Port of Spain is the capital city of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. This metropolitan city boasts tall buildings, neon lighting and crowded streets, as well as vibrant Caribbean character. Enjoy the year round flamboyant festivals and carnivals and look out for elaborate costumes and parade dancing through the streets to the sound of a steel band. On Maracas Bay you'll find plenty of sun and surf; tuck into a 'bake and shark', a Trinidadian speciality cuisine. Central Queen's Park Savannah offers beauty in the heart of the city and is a popular spot at sunset for walkers.
