490 guests, 345 crew, 245 suites, and 8 decks. Regent Seven Seas gives you a cruising experience like no other. Sit back and enjoy the spectacular views and destinations whilst you let the experienced crew take care of every little detail.
You can find the Regent Seven Seas Navigator sailing in two very different regions; the South Pacific, and Canada and New England.
Jonathon, Head of Commercial and Cruise at Hays Travel, recently embarked the Regent Seven Seas Navigator when it docked at the Port of Tyne in Newcastle for the day. Read all about his ship visit below….
“We started the day meeting the Regent staff at the Port of Tyne. We then boarded the ship and enjoyed a presentation with a glass of Champagne. It was very interesting to learn more about Regent and the luxurious fleet. Regent visit over 450 ports each year on seven to 131 night sailings, and their holidays are on sale up until May 2022, with many sailings already on a waitlist meaning they are fully booked.
“Regent compared themselves to other premium cruise lines, although the initial price compared with other cruise lines may be cheaper. They used a saying which I really liked - ‘it’s what you pay getting off the ship not getting on the ship that counts’ - basically saying that with Regent you can leave your purse or wallet at home as everything is included; food, drinks, excursions, Wi-Fi, service charges, and entertainment. Whereas other cruise lines all charge extras for this when on-board.
“Next we had a one-hour tour of the ship before sitting down for lunch. The only downfall was we couldn’t see any of the cabins as these were occupied by customers and the ship was fully booked.
“Everything on board is so luxurious - I had never seen something so breathtaking - she was a small ship with such a grand feel. The marble floor at guest services was a wow. The outdoor space on board was my favourite part. The pool area was lovely and we were lucky that the sun was shining in Newcastle; I could so see myself relaxing on there.
“As I mentioned everything with the exception of the spa and salon treatments is included within the price of your cruise, however, spa facilities such as sauna and steam rooms are all included. Even all your shore excursions are included, and unlimited Wi-Fi too!
“Where do I start with the food? I’m a right foodie and I was really excited for this part. The menu which was put together included a dish from each of the ship restaurants on board. The restaurant names are Pacific Rim, Prime 7, Sette Mari, Cherteuse, and Compass Rose (see picture below).
“It felt very luxurious but not uncomfortable. I did have a perception that I wouldn’t sail with Regent as I wasn’t their customer type, however, it was very modern with amazing finishing touches. I felt very relaxed and would certainty cruise with Regent. Even though I’m only 31, I can see myself on board. The staff were all excellent; always happy and approachable and nothing was too much trouble.
“In addition to the above one customer who was with me said when we went into the theatre, ‘there’s not a bad seat in the house’, as every seat was in a prime location!”
Which are you going to choose? The turquoise waters of the South Pacific brimming with bright tropical fish, or the idyllic autumn setting of New England?
