Spirit of the Danube
Overview
Constructed at the Vahali Shipyards in Serbia, Spirit of the Danube was built in 2022 and set sail on her inaugural cruise in the same year. Her naming ceremony took place in Arnhem in the Netherlands with her Godmother, broadcaster and journalist Dame Jenni Murray, in attendance.
The importance of experience
Using over three decades of experience in the cruise industry, we designed Spirit of the Danube with our customers in mind. She will mainly be cruising the Danube River.
Elegant décor
The interior design features Art Nouveau style in pink and green hues and a Danube Delta wildlife theme, with designs incorporating migratory birds throughout. The elegant lobby features a stunning mosaic representing the river and the places of interest that run along it created by artist Ann Bubis. While the ship’s corridors showcase hand-cut paper artworks by Andrew Malon.
Food & Drink
Every mealtime is a special event, often stretching to four or five courses. Spirit of the Danube has two restaurants; the Panorama is the main restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the more intimate Delta Restaurant is open for a light lunch or speciality dinner reservation. Alfresco barbecue dining is available on the outside terrace when the weather is fine.
Complimentary afternoon tea is served daily, and tea, coffee and biscuits are available whenever you choose from the self-service stations.
Entertainment
The large sun deck at the top of the ship is the perfect place to relax as you glide from one riverside gem to another. Admire the ever-changing view from a sun lounger or even from the Splash Pool and enjoy waiter-served drinks and deck games. Inside, the Belvedere Lounge offers a light, sociable space where you can relax and watch the passing scenery through panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows.

There is a small fitness area on the lower deck.
