Raiatea, French Polynesia
Raiatea is the second largest of the Society Islands in French Polynesia. Known as the Sacred Island, the name Raiatea translates to "faraway heaven" and "sky with soft light". Raiatea is famous for its archaeological ruins called maraes; stop by Taputapuatea and discover the dozens of marae and shrines on display. Board a boat to the Black Pearl farm and gaze in awe at the displays of glistening pearls. Alternatively, trek to the Temehani Plateau and to the slopes of Mount Temehani to see the beautiful Tiare Apetahi flowers. Rangiroa, French Polynesia
The ship drops anchor today at Rangiroa, the largest atoll in French Polynesia's Tuamotus. This atoll's vast lagoon is popular with divers who love to explore the prolific marine life in the offshore waters. Explore the charming villages of Avatoru and Tiputa and stop to sample local cuisine at one of the casual restaurants. No trip here would be complete without buying a piece of local black pearl jewellery. Take a boat trip to admire the scenic beauty of Ile aux Recifs and Lagon Blu, get up close to the friendly dolphins at Tiputa Pass, or explore the beautiful pink and white coral sands of Rangiroa beach on the southeast side of the atoll.

Nuku Hiva, French Polynesia
Nuku Hiva is the largest of the Marquesas Islands in French Polynesia and offers plenty to see and do. Head to Anaho Bay to swim around Nuku Hiva's only reef or perhaps ride the waves. The archaeological sites of Hikokua, Kamuihei, and Teipoka are close to each other; enjoy walking amongst banyan trees, petroglyphs, tiki statues, and the human sacrifice stone. Take a boat ride to the start of Haikaui Valley and hike to reach Vaipo Waterfall, where you can cool off in the freshwater pool. Shop for Marsquesan crafts at the artisan market; discover why the islanders are some of the best carvers in the South Pacific. No trip would be complete without seeing one of world's best natural wonders - Nuku Hiva's Grand Canyon - and marvelling at its impressive creek leading deep between immense cliffs.

Hilo, Hawaii
Hilo, commonly called the Big Island, is a region blessed with waterfalls, vast rainforests and blooming gardens. Hilo is the gateway to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, home to Kilauea Volcano, one of the world’s most active volcanoes. Take a helicopter tour over this spectacular area and look out for lava flowing from the crater. Visit Akaka Falls State Park and feast your eyes upon the lush vegetation and spectacular waterfalls. Hilo is a vibrant town with interesting museums, art galleries, shops and markets to visit. To experience the connections between local culture and astronomy, visit the Imiloa Astronomy Center.

Kona, Hawaii
The Kona region is a 60-mile stretch which houses everything from coffee farms to Hawaiian landmarks. Experience Kona's history at Hulihee Palace, once a summer holiday home for Hawaiian royalty and today a museum showcasing artefacts. Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park is a natural beauty; explore and discover how an early Hawaiian settlement survived on the Kona coast. South Kona's calm and clear waters are the perfect place to go snorkelling, diving and dolphin spotting. Take a boat tour and scuba-dive off the reefs or go deep sea fishing. Back on land, travel to the upland slopes and sample the Kona coffee which is locally grown.

Kahului, Hawaii
Kahului is a region on the island of Maui in Hawaii. The history of Kahului is closely tied to the sugar industry; visit the Alexander and Baldwin Sugar Museum to learn more about the sugarcane industry in Hawaii. Maui Nui Botanical Gardens display beautiful local plants, while the Maui Arts and Cultural Centre hosts over 1,800 events each year including major music and theatre productions, hula, symphony, ballet, taiko drumming, drama, and children’s art. The Queen Ka'ahumanu Centre is the island's largest shopping mall with over 100 shops and restaurants, including Maui's only department stores - Sears and Macy's.

Nawiliwili, Hawaii, USA
The port of Nawiliwili sits at the mouth of Hule'ia Stream on Kauai's southeast coast in the Hawaiian Islands. Nawiliwili and nearby Niumalu Beach Park's claim-to-fame are that they featured in the Raiders of the Lost Ark film. Stroll around Aloha Center close to the harbour with its art gallery, shops, cafe, and arts and craft stalls. Nearby Lihue is where you'll find Kauai Museum, Grove Farm Homestead Museum, Menehune Fishpond, Kalapaki Beach, Kilohana Plantation with the Kauai Plantation Railway, and Wailua Falls. Board a boat to the awe-inspiring Pearl Harbor & USS Arizona Memorial. Alternatively, head to the idyllic Hanauma Bay and relax on the horseshoe sands or snorkel in the welcoming turquoise waters. Explore the magical Diamond Head trail and head to the tuff cone volanic crater, where you’ll find the former fort boasting panoramic views. Gaze out to sea from the top of the Aloha Tower and eat your way through the streets of Chinatown.
