La Rochelle is a coastal city in southwestern France and is often known as La Ville Blanche ‘the White City’ and the stunning city’s luminous limestone facades glow in the bright coastal sunlight. Discover the 600 different species at Aquarium La Rochelle or climb up the spectacular 158 spiral steps of Tour de la Lanterne to savour panoramic views of the city. Journey back in time and visit the Musée Maritime, highlights include the trio of retired boats moored there. Musée du Nouveau Monde and Musée des Beaux-Arts are both well-worth a visit too. Bilbao, Spain
Discover the cosmopolitan Basque city and lively port of Bilbao. Surrounded by verdant green mountains, this city in northern Spain is home to the breathtaking modern and contemporary art at the Guggenheim Museum. Sample authentic tapas dishes in the family-run restaurants that line Casco Viejo, Bilbao's vibrant old quarter, and shop for handmade souvenirs at quirky independent boutiques. The modern transport links provide easy access to the two other capitals of the Basque Country — Vitoria and San Sebastián.

La Coruña overlooks the Bay of Coruña in the north-west corner of Spain. Step ashore and visit the Tower of Hercules, Castillo de San Anton, and Castillo de San Diego. Explore the Roman wall, historical buildings and the medieval Church of Santiago in Ciudad Vieja. Get a culture hit at the Museum of Sacred Art, Archaeological Museum and Military Museum. People-watch at La Marina and Plaza Maria Pita, or relax on the Playa Riazor and Playa del Orzan beaches. MSC Virtuosa’s namesake comes from the word virtuoso, meaning someone highly skilled in music. Each deck will, in fact, be named after a different musical instrument.
