Isla De Roatan, Honduras

Step ashore at Isla de Roatán - the largest of Honduras' Bay Islands - situated between Guanaja and Utila islands and approximately 65km off the northern coast of Honduras. Once home to over 5,000 pirates, this largely untouched island showcases mountainous lush green jungle scapes, clear turquoise seas, and a rich coral barrier reef - perfect for discovering the region's colourful marine life on a snorkelling and scuba-diving trip. View capuchin monkeys and exotic birds and fly through the jungle canopy at Gumbalimba Park. Enjoy close-up views of indigenous iguanas at Arch's Iguana Farm, meet playful monkeys at Victor's Monkey Business, and swim with dolphins at Dolphin Encounter.

Costa Maya, Mexico

Costa Maya sits on the Caribbean coastline of Mexico's eastern Yucatán Peninsula and is famous for its natural wonders, amazing diving, and ancient Mayan ruins. Spend the day at Costa Maya's largest town Mahahual - bask on its pristine beaches, try your hand at water sports like paddle boarding, or go fishing for local tuna, snapper, and marlin. The offshore Banco Chinchorro Biosphere Reserve's reefs and mangroves are teeming with sharks, dolphins, and turtles; while to the north, you can keep your eyes peeled for jaguars, monkeys, and hundreds of bird species at Sian Ka'an Biosphere. Relish tubing or kayaking on the turquoise waters of Laguna Bacalar - the Lake of Seven Colours - and step back to Mayan times at the Museum of the Mayan Culture in Chetumal and the mystical Chacchoben, Kohunlich, Dzibanche, and Kinichna Ruins.

Cozumel, Mexico

Arrive on the 48km-long and 16km-wide Mexican island of Cozumel in the Caribbean Sea; famous for its chilled-out vibes, stunning scenery, amazing diving sites, rich culture, and wonderful beaches. One of Mexico's most popular ports of call, Cozumel is home to Arrecifes de Cozumel National Park where you can dive around part of the Mesoamerican Reel and the Museo Subacuático de Arte’s submerged sculptures. Discover Chankanaab eco-park on a lagoon complete with underwater caverns and awash with manatees, sea turtles, and dolphins. San Miguel reveals the Sea Walls – 36 large-scale public murals created by local and international artists to raise awareness about ocean conservation - vibrant Benito Juárez Plaza, and The Cozumel Museum; and leads to the laid-back beach life on Playa Palancar. Head deep into the jungle to visit the once-sacred Mayan site of San Gervasio.

Ocean Cay is part of the Bimini chain of islands, situated in the western Bahamas. This unique environmental paradise has plenty to keep you occupied and at one with nature; including six stunning sandy beaches, a vast calm lagoon, and a traditional Bahamian village. There are a plethora of private dive holes and freshwater habitats to experience and you can also glide across the crystal blue waters on a jet ski or don your snorkel to glimpse the fascinating tropical underwater life. For fun family times in the sun, head down to the dedicated and well-equipped family beach. Indulge in a rejuvenating massage or facial in a sea-view cabana at Aurea Spa or spend time eating and drinking at the seaside restaurants and tiki bars.

Be spoilt for choice on how to spend your time here. This vibrant city stretches from the serene Everglades to the stylish haunts of the rich and famous on Miami Beach. Indulge in retail therapy at Lincoln Road Mall or enjoy a touch of culture at Wolfsonian-FIU museum. Escape to the idyllic Miami Beach Botanical Garden or chill out on the white sand of South Beach. Explore the art galleries and elegant eateries at Miami's Design District or visit the historic and bohemian Espanola Way. If you're travelling with children, spend time at Jungle Island zoo and Miami Children's Museum.

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

Puerto Plata is a city on the Dominican Republic's Atlantic north coast and is best known for its sandy shores. The city's old colonial-era centre is dominated by the 16th-century Fortaleza San Felipe, a Spanish fortress that now houses historical and military artefacts. A great spot to swim with dolphins and sharks is Ocean World Adventure Park or Playa Dorada is a great family day out to soak up some sunshine and enjoy the seaside. Witness scenic views across Puerto Plata with a ride on the cable car or pay a visit to Damajaqua Cascades with its beautiful waterfall and canyoning adventures. Museo Del Ambar is a fascinating Victorian building featuring preserved amber and a gift shop brimming with unique amber jewellery.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

San Juan is the capital of and the largest city on the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. Explore the cobblestoned buildings of Old San Juan with its 16th-century El Morro and La Fortaleza fortresses, San Juan National Historic Site, and Spanish colonial buildings. New San Juan is awash with tropical beaches, luxury hotels, world-class dining, and designer shopping. Pay a visit to Casa Blanca Museum, Museo del Nino, and Galeria National. Make a whistle-stop tour of the sights on the free trolley bus or take a scenic stroll along Paseo de La Princesa. Learn about the art of rum making on the Bacardi Distillery Tour or enjoy the tranquillity of San Juan Botanical Garden.
