Scarlet Lady

Overview

Scarlet Lady joins the new Virgin Voyages fleet in 2020 and is the first of four ships on order. She is being built for Sailors aimed at like-minded travellers seeking a 24/7 festival at sea with no kids, no set dining times, no buffets, and no limits. An eye-catching mystical Mermaid adorns Scarlet Lady’s bow and, in her maiden season, she’ll set sail with a maximum of 2,700 Sailors aboard for four and five-night itineraries to Cuba and the Caribbean out of Port of Miami. Her 1400 cabins and suites are an experience in themselves - especially the 78 Tom Dixon-designed RockStar Quarters - 93% boast a sea view and 86% have a balcony. Basic drinks, tips, and round-the-clock dining are all included in the cruise fare with 20 unique restaurants, cafes, lounges, and eateries just waiting to be discovered. The Vitamin Sea concept includes detoxing and retoxing pursuits so you return home refreshed and rejuvenated after your cruise experience. Virgin Voyages also aims to be environment-friendly by banning single-use plastics and by using recyclable and reusable materials on board. More time in each port and occasional overnight stays allow you to savour thrilling off-the-beaten-track experiences.

Food & Drink

Dine wherever you want, whenever you want, in whatever way you want during your time afloat. Enjoy the fiery flavours of Mexico with a twist at the upscale and refined Pink Agave and savour the finest steak, seafood, champagne, and breathtaking views at Wake. Cook for yourself with a famous Korean Barbecue at your table in the relaxed Geonbae and experience communal eating and hand-made pasta at the 'mobster's lair'-inspired Extra Virgin eatery. Whether you're a foodie or vegan you'll find something to your taste in the striking environs of Razzle Dazzle; the two Drag Brunch events each voyage add entertainment to the menu too. Tuck into made-to-order market-style fare with stunning vistas from early morning to late-night at the Galley and freshly-baked delights to your specific tastes at Pizza Place. You won't find at menu at Test Kitchen just a list of ingredients that the chefs will transform into mouth-watering treats. Keeping hydrated isn’t a problem with basic drinks such as filtered still and sparkling water, non-pressed juice, sodas, teas, and coffees included in your cruise fare. From a freshly-brewed cuppa in the morning and a reviving ice-cold beer after explorations ashore, to a tropical cocktail by the water's edge, or a gin and tonic with new-found friends in the evening; there are plenty of bars to choose from on Scarlet Lady. Already announced bars include: the exclusive, members-only Richard's Rooftop with its VIP sundeck and bar; Gym & Tonic - the go-to place for post-work out smoothies and juices; and The Athletic Club for drinks with a view. You’ll also find that most dining venues also has its own bar; so you can accompany your meal with a glass or two of your chosen wine or beer or even a freshly-mixed cocktail.

Entertainment

Day or night there is plenty to keep you entertained on Scarlet Lady. Work on your tan at the Aquatic Club or lie back in the great catamaran net over the waves. Go jogging at The Runway, get your heart racing at the B-Complex Gym - The Burn, Build, Balance, and Bike rooms - and ease your tired muscles in the Well-Being Pool. Realign your chakras with yoga at The Crow's Nest or pamper yourself with a seaweed wrap at Redemption Spa. You can even immortalise your time at sea with a tattoo at Ink Life or get ready for the night ahead at Stubble & Groom barber shop and Dry Dock blow out bar. Since their early days in the 70s, Virgin have been spotting and nurturing the best talent; this ethos will continue with the acts on Scarlet Lady. Head to The Manor after dark - a two-storey, three-bar space with a moody and sexy 70s punk vibe - for ground-breaking shows early doors, before the venue turns into a nightclub for late-night dancing to the best DJs. Dice with Lady Luck at the slot machines and gaming tables of The Casino.
