The cosmopolitan city of Cork sits between two channels of the River Lee, upstream from Cork Harbour on Ireland's southwest coast. Visit the former prison of Cork City Gaol, Victorian-themed English Market, and neo-Gothic St. Colman's Cathedral. Gaze in awe at the French Gothic spires of St Finbarre's Cathedral, or ring the Shandon Bells in the 300-year-old tower of St Anne's Church. Pay a visit to the "Queenstown Story" at Cork Heritage Centre, where you can learn all about Irish emigration and the area's connection to the Titanic. Venture out of the city to Blarney Castle to kiss the famous Blarney Stone.

Portland, UK

Today the ship drops anchor on the isle of Portland - located off the World Heritage Coast in the South of England. The isle is rich in bird, animal and plant life and is also home to a wide selection of indigenous butterflies. Head to the east of the island to visit Church Ope Cove and the East Weares rocky landscape. Pay a visit to Portland's Quarries, the Merchant's Incline, Portland Castle and Portland Bill Lighthouse. Follow the Legacy Trail circular walk - taking in Pulpit Rock and the east and west cliff tops en-route. Admire the sculptures and scenery at Tout Quarry Sculpture Park and Nature Reserve. The off-shore waters are also perfect for angling, sailing and diving.

MSC Virtuosa’s namesake comes from the word virtuoso, meaning someone highly skilled in music. Each deck will, in fact, be named after a different musical instrument. This new cruise ship will be one of the two largest in MSC Cruises’ fleet, along with her sister ship MSC Grandiosa.
