Toulon, France
Toulon is a port city on southern France’s Mediterranean coast, lined with sandy beaches and shingle coves. Board a Toulon cable car to Mont Faron and bask in the amazing views across the bay, visit Zoo du Mont Faron, and enjoy a host of activities such as rock climbing and mountain biking. Pay a visit to the Musée National de la Marine and lose yourself in Toulon’s rich naval history. Enjoy the morning market along Cours Lafayette, before indulging in traditional French cuisine at a nearby bistro. Spend a few hours on the Plages du Mourillon beaches to the east of the port.

Marina di Carrara, Italy
The modern seaside resort of Marina di Carrara sits on Italy's Tyrrhenian coastline. The resort is bordered by a long sandy beach with the sea in the foreground and green pine forests in the background; the distant dramatic white Apuan Alps are the source of the purest marble - famously used in Rome's Pantheon and Trajan's Column and also Michelangelo's David. The 'Marble City' of Carrara is a 20-minute drive inland with marble everywhere you look; from the pavements and fountains to the sculptures and main cathedral - walk through Piazza Alberica and stop for a coffee to people-watch. Marina di Carrara is also gateway to Florence's Duomo, Uffizi Palace and Gallery, and Ponte Vecchio and also Pisa's famous Leaning Tower, Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the Baptistery, and Miracle Square.

Ajaccio, Corsica
Ajaccio is a jewel on any Mediterranean cruise, one of the easiest destinations to navigate on foot, and one of the most characteristic ports you can see. Around the harbour, you can find a bustling world of French and Italian influence, with traditional Mediterranean restaurants and local artists on every street corner. Visit the ancestral home of French Emperor Napoléon Bonaparte and see the 16th-century Notre-Dame cathedral which is home to paintings by Delacroix and Tintoretto.

Sail to Es Vedra — a tall limestone island that is famous for being a site of myths and legends. Overview
Scarlet Lady joins the new Virgin Voyages fleet in 2020 and is the first of four ships on order. She is being built for Sailors aimed at like-minded travellers seeking a 24/7 festival at sea with no kids, no set dining times, no buffets, and no limits. An eye-catching mystical Mermaid adorns Scarlet Lady’s bow and, in her maiden season, she’ll set sail with a maximum of 2,700 Sailors aboard for four and five-night itineraries to Cuba and the Caribbean out of Port of Miami. Her 1400 cabins and suites are an experience in themselves - especially the 78 Tom Dixon-designed RockStar Quarters - 93% boast a sea view and 86% have a balcony. Basic drinks, tips, and round-the-clock dining are all included in the cruise fare with 20 unique restaurants, cafes, lounges, and eateries just waiting to be discovered. The Vitamin Sea concept includes detoxing and retoxing pursuits so you return home refreshed and rejuvenated after your cruise experience. Virgin Voyages also aims to be environment-friendly by banning single-use plastics and by using recyclable and reusable materials on board. More time in each port and occasional overnight stays allow you to savour thrilling off-the-beaten-track experiences.

Day or night there is plenty to keep you entertained on Scarlet Lady. Work on your tan at the Aquatic Club or lie back in the great catamaran net over the waves. Go jogging at The Runway, get your heart racing at the B-Complex Gym - The Burn, Build, Balance, and Bike rooms - and ease your tired muscles in the Well-Being Pool. Realign your chakras with yoga at The Crow's Nest or pamper yourself with a seaweed wrap at Redemption Spa. You can even immortalise your time at sea with a tattoo at Ink Life or get ready for the night ahead at Stubble & Groom barber shop and Dry Dock blow out bar. Since their early days in the 70s, Virgin have been spotting and nurturing the best talent; this ethos will continue with the acts on Scarlet Lady. Head to The Manor after dark - a two-storey, three-bar space with a moody and sexy 70s punk vibe - for ground-breaking shows early doors, before the venue turns into a nightclub for late-night dancing to the best DJs. Dice with Lady Luck at the slot machines and gaming tables of The Casino.
