Wurzburg is also the centre of the Franconian wine country, which is served in distinct bocksbeutel bottles.

Marvel at the beautiful fortifications of Stadtbefestigung or perhaps pay a visit to the old 1288 church of St Andreas and take in its beautiful interior and grand organ. Take time to check out the exhibits of Trachtenmuseum or venture further into the Wurzburg district and take a guided tour of the frescos and paintings of the lavish 18th-century Wurzburg Residence.
