After breakfast, you will take fast train to Xi’an. The suggested train is G55 (0955-1405) however this is subject to availability. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel for a 2-night stay. The rest of time is free at your leisure. We suggest visiting the Muslim Quarter for street food. See the Muslim Quarter and wander past the shops, markets, and the Great Mosque. Sample some street snacks from local carts and see why this area is known for its food!

Xi’an, China
This morning, you will be transferred to enjoy the magnificence of the famous Terra Cotta Warriors, about 1.5 hours drive away from downtown Xi’an. Originally four armies were planned, one at each point of the compass, life-size and lifelike. Three have been found and it is assumed the emperor's successors decided enough was enough before the fourth was begun. The first pit excavated had an estimated 6,000 figures in its one army. The third pit has been opened to the public, which contains the 'command squad' for the entire operation. This is one of China's great tourist attractions, and some people may find the sheer numbers of visitors rather overpowering.

After checkout at your hotel, transfer independently to Xi'an station for you rail journey to Shanghai by high speed train G1918 (0930:1643).  After arriving in Shanghai you will be transferred from Shanghai station to your hotel for an overnight stay. Enjoy your afternoon at leisure.

Try and taste the fresh pasta being made in-house every day, or order some dishes to share so that everyone can try something different. Kids can even get involved in making their own food with the ‘Shake Me’ salad, designed especially for them to shake up just the way they like!
