Background
Spirit of the Moselle
Overview

Set sail aboard one of our newest boutique ships

Since setting sail on her inaugural season in the summer of 2025, guests have been discovering the delights of Europe in all-inclusive style aboard Spirit of the Moselle.

Designed with you in mind, Spirit of the Moselle offers the same high standards as her boutique sister ships, Spirit of the Rhine and Spirit of the Danube, all reserved exclusively for Saga guests.

Exclusively for you

We have combined our experience of river cruise ship construction with our unique understanding of our guests and their needs to design Spirit of the Moselle and are confident that you will love this edition to our fleet as much as we do.

Contemporary interior design

We have taken inspiration from the work of English artist JMW Turner and his painting Beilstein and Burg Metternich for the ship’s colour palette of green, blue and pink. Inspiration was also drawn from the poem Mosella by the Roman poet Magnus Ausonius, which is a celebration of the verdancy of the river and describes, ‘the riverbanks; hills, green with vines, beneath them, flowing noiselessly. The fair Moselle.’

Food & Drink

All-inclusive dining with a panoramic view

Spirit of the Moselle has two restaurants; the Panorama is the main restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the speciality Beilstein Restaurant is open for a light lunch or dinner reservation. Alfresco barbecue dining will be available on the outside terrace when the weather is fine.

Complimentary afternoon tea will be served daily, and tea, coffee and biscuits will be available whenever you choose from the self-service stations.

Entertainment

Welcoming public spaces

On board we have created a warm and relaxing space for our guests, taking inspiration from the sights and experiences of the ship’s namesake river. Spirit of the Moselle’s main deck features floor-to-ceiling windows, bathing the ship in light throughout, and making the most of the ever-changing scenery as the ship winds along the Main and Moselle. The lounge area is separated into three spaces: the main bar, a cosy Parisian-style cafe area with a self-service tea and coffee station, and a library.
