Dundee is located on the east coast of Scotland, on the north side of the sheltered Firth of Tay. The port itself is set close to City Quay and the rejuvenated Dundee Waterfront - home to the RRS Discovery (Captain Scott's ship) and the 19th-century warship, HM Frigate Unicorn. Explore the city's historical past at the Verdant Works Museum and admire the artworks and archaeological finds at the McManus Galleries. Immerse yourself in the interactive exhibitions at Dundee Science Museum or scale rock walls at Avertical World Climbing Centre. Dundee is also the gateway to golf at St Andrews, Glamis Castle in Forfar, and Arbroath Abbey in Angus.

Newcastle (Tyne), England

Newcastle sits on the River Tyne in England's North East. Explore Tyneside's rich history at Discovery Museum and the Great North Museum, or learn about innovation and science at the Centre for Life. Indulge in retail therapy around Eldon Square or take a tour of St James' Park - home to Newcastle United Football Club. Escape to the tranquil surroundings of Jesmond Dene or step back in time at the open-air Beamish Museum. Cross Gateshead Millennium Bridge to visit Gateshead music centre and the BALTIC Centre of Contemporary Art; keeping your eyes peeled for the Angel of the North in the distance. Here she is, Ambition. Our second lady of the sea. Aptly named to further emphasise our commitment to inspire and delight every guest to enjoy an authentic cruise experience effortlessly, and sustainably
Ambition will carry up to 1,200 passengers to give her a true sense of comfort and space in her 680 cabins, 125 of which have balconies and 113 are suites with up to 62m2 of living space.

Ambition’s restaurants are designed around choice and comfort — from leisurely breakfasts and relaxed buffets to elegant evening dining and Mediterranean specialities. All offering a variety of flavours and settings to suit your mood.

Bars & Venues

If unwinding is on your agenda, then why not kick back in one of our lounges? We have the timeless Cavern offering live cabaret, game shows and light entertainment, and the stylish cocktail Clifton Lounge serving all your favourite tipples, and the Pool Bar and Consulate Bar are perfectly positioned for you to soak up the rays. Other bars include The Angel Bar overlooking reception. And, for all your pre and post-theatre moments, we have the elegant Pendennis bar, and the Purple Turtle Wine Bar.

Speaking of theatre, we have an exciting entertainment programme at The Palladium ready to whisk you away to new worlds full of song, dance, comedy, and wonderful storytelling with the Ambassador Theatre Company. There’s also Grafton Street, our arts, crafts and activity area, No.10 Conference Room perfect for meetings, Aces & Eights ideal for many a hand of cards, Brontë’s library, the shopping galleria, fitness centre, an exterior jogging and walking track, swimming pool, splash pool and active pool. And to extend that feeling of rejuvenation, we have our Green Sea Spa on board, offering a sauna, steam room, hair salon and a range of restoring spa treatments.

Health & Fitness

Located high on Deck 11, Ambition’s Wellness Centre is a light-filled retreat with panoramic sea views — a serene space designed to help you relax, recharge and enjoy the rhythm of life at sea.

This dedicated wellbeing area includes a spa, gym and relaxation rooms, all with floor-to-ceiling windows so you can unwind or work out while gazing over the ocean.

Kids & Teens

Although Ambition essentially operates for adults only, we are offering a selection of multi-generational cruises in school holidays, with no age restriction. These cruises enable the whole family to spend quality time together.

Please note that there are no specific children’s facilities on board.

Terms & Conditions

Advertised prices are based on two adults sharing an inside cabin or stateroom unless otherwise stated, and single supplements apply for solo travellers. All guests must be 18 years or older to travel. This promotion is exclusive to Hays Travel and its affiliate members and is not combinable with any Ambassador Cruise Line campaigns or promotions. Gratuities are not included (approximately £7 per person, payable onboard – subject to cabin type).
