Palma sits on the south coast of Balearic island of Majorca and is the island's capital city. The streets of this vibrant port city are lined with an eclectic mix of restaurants, bars, galleries, shops, and heritage buildings. Explore the narrow alleys and lanes of the old town, before spending time at the impressive Palma Cathedral. Indulge in retail therapy on Avenida Jaume III, Passeig de Born, and the streets around the Placa Major. Palma Aquarium, Bellver Castle and the Joan Miro Foundation are well worth a visit, too. The dolphin, sea lion and parrot shows at Marineland and Poble Espanyol — a collection of Spain's famous buildings in miniature — are great for family times. Or why not take a scenic train ride to the town of Soller or travel inland to the Caves of Drach?

Palamos, Spain

Situated along Spain’s Costa Brava the stunning town of Palamos is fringed with sun-kissed sands and is known for its water sports, hiking and fishing. Visit the warm shallow water of Cala Estreta or explore the remains of an Iberian castle perched on Fosca beach. Take a stroll along gleaming Mariana and gaze out at the stunning vessels setting sail. Discover the narrow streets of the historic old town or spend an afternoon soaking up the sun in one of the waterfront bars lining the stunning harbour.

Castellon, Spain

Castellon de la Plana, the capital city of Castellon, is located in Eastern Spain. This fascinating city is full of traditional culture and beautiful landmarks. Meander through Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Santa Clara, and Plaza de la Pescaderia in the old quarter. Gaze in awe at the 13th-century Gothic-style Concatedral de Santa Maria and El Fadri, the cathedral's 15th-century octagonal bell tower. Admire the modern artworks at the Espai d’Art Contemporani de Castello, view the collection of Valenican ceramics at Museu de Belles Arts, or visit Llotja del Canem and gain insight into Spanish history. Take a stroll around the lush gardens of Parque Ribalta or head to Pinar Beach on nearby Costa Azahar for beach sports and sunbathing.

Cartagena, Spain

Cartagena is a port city in the Murcia region of southeast Spain. Discover the Muralla del Mar, Palacio Consistorial and the Old Cathedral in the Old Quarter. Explore the city's Roman heritage at the Roman Theatre Museum and Casa de Fortuna. Pay a visit to ARQUA Marine Achaeology Museum and the Municipal Achaeology Museum. Take a stroll along the shop and cafe-lined Calle Mayor. Venture further afield to view Bateria de Castillitos at Cape Tinoso.

Gibraltar, Gibraltar

Gibraltar is a vibrant slice of Britain at the heart of the sunny Mediterranean. From its helmet-wearing policemen and fish and chips to familiar stores such as Marks & Spencer, this place truly feels like home. Take a cable car up to Europa Point to meet the famous Barbary macaque tailless monkeys and admire all of Gibraltar. Explore the labyrinth of the Great Siege Tunnels and St Michael's Cave inside The Rock. Enjoy a stroll to the Moorish Castle or discover the 100 Ton Gun at the Napier Magdala Battery beside Rosia Bay.
