Brest

Brest is a port city located in France's Northern region Britanny. Divided by the Penfeld River it’s known for its rich maritime history and naval base. Explore the cobbled streets and gaze in awe at the heavily fortified Chateau de Brest and the rotund 14th century Tour Tanguy tower. Journey back in time at Musee National de la Marine, enjoy an exciting voyage through the tropical seas and oceans at Oceanpolis' multi-coloured aquarium.

El Ferrol, for Santiago de Compostela

El Ferrol, found in the province of A Coruña, is based in north-west Spain on the Ferrol Inlet of the Atlantic Ocean. Once a small fishing village, the city is now one of Spain's most important ship-building locations. Its seafaring history is brought to life at the 16th-century Castillo de San Felipe, the historic docklands, and the Ferrol and Naval Museum. Try some of El Ferrol's unique seafood dishes and range of wines in the old town and downtown districts. You can also travel just outside Ferrol to Santiago de Compostela — an UNESCO World Heritage site featuring Gothic, Baroque and Romanesque buildings.

Gijon

The coastal city of Gijon sits on the shores of the Bay of Biscay. This Spanish port is just north of Oviedo, the capital of Asturias, and is perfect for exploring. The narrow cobblestone streets host a collection of fascinating architecture, museums, sculptures, piazzas, and gardens. The old fisherman's quarter sits on Cimadevilla — a peninsula that separates the port — and is home to colourful seafront houses and minute beach huts. Visit the Roman baths museum at Campo Valdés and relax on the golden sand of San Lorenzo Beach.

Santander

The vibrant port of Santander sits on Spain's north coast. Cantabria's capital city offers pristine urban beaches, lively shopping districts, a bustling bar and restaurant scene, and a list of enticing sights and attractions. Alameda de Oviedo Boulevard is lined with the best shops and bars. See the 20th-century Royal Palace of La Magdalena that sits on a peninsula, visit the Gothic-style Santander Cathedral with its octagonal roof, and wander the Paseo de Pereda with its elegant seafront gardens.

Le Verdon, for Bordeaux

The small coastal resort of Le Verdon-sur-Mer sits at the northernmost end of the Medoc peninsula in south-west France. The town has two Blue Flag beaches - Plage Saint-Nicolas and Plage de la Chambrette - where you can enjoy sunbathing and a paddle in the waves. Stroll into the town centre and admire the 19th-century Church of Notre-Dame du Bon Secours et de Saint-Louis. Pay a visit to the 68m-high white Renaissance-style Cordouan Lighthouse and climb its 311-step staircase up to the top. You can also take a boat trip from Le Verdon-sur-Mer across the Gironde Estuary to Royan or sail further on to La Rochelle and Ile de Re.

Cherbourg

Dock at Cherbourg, on France's Normandy coast. Take a walk around the medieval harbour of Barfleur and the nearby Gatteville lighthouse. Visit the largest nuclear submarine open to the public and the Titanic exhibition at Cite de la Mer. Explore the town's World War II history at Museum of the Order of the Liberation. Admire the colourful flora and fauna at Parc Emmanuel Liais, make a pilgrimage to nearby UNESCO World Heritage site of Mont-St-Michel or visit the Contentin D-Day Landing Beaches.

Day 10

Honfleur

The charming port city of Honfleur sits at the confluence of the River Seine and the English Channel in northern France. Walk around the distinctive Vieux-Bassin harbour to explore the quaint 16th to 18th-century town houses and the wood-built Saint Catherine's Church. Stroll though the intriguing cobbled streets, window-shop at the stylish boutiques, and stop for a cup of coffee at one of the waterfront cafes. Venture up the hillside to admire the 17th-century Notre Dame de Grâce chapel or step back in time at Musee de Vieux Honfleur and Blockhaus de la Gare. Escape to the tranquil surroundings of Naturospace which is alive with tropical butterflies, birds, and plants.

Zeebrugge, for Bruges

The modern port of Zeebrugge sits in the centre of Belgium's coast alongside the North Sea. Wander around the marina and visit the Seafront theme park; which is set in the old fish market and focuses on local seafaring and fishing heritage including a Russian submarine. Nearby Knokke-Heist is home to the F for Freedom Museum; where the dioramas evoke the area's WWII history. Travel along the coast to experience the De Fonteintjes wetland and dunes. Zeebrugge is also the gateway to Bruges via the Baudoin Canal - where you can look forward to up-close views of glittering jewels at the Diamond Museum, the world of chocolate making at the Choco-Story, and the art of lace making at the Lace Centre. Belgium's vibrant capital city of Brussels is also easily accessible with its Grand Place, Manneken Pis statue, and Heysel Park's iconic Atomium.

Breakfast and lunch are generally served on an open seating basis, giving you and your appetite plenty of choice. Please note on board Ambition, at breakfast you can expect a full buffet with one special served to the table and for lunch there will be starter, soup and desert served buffest style with the main course served to the table. With dinner, we operate two sittings, which can be requested after booking your cruise. If you have any dietary requirements, we can easily accommodate - just let us know in advance.

Prices quoted for your chosen route is for 1 person and 2 suitcases and 1 piece of hand luggage, this is the maximum amount of luggage that can be carried per person. Please be advised that there is a weight limit of 23kg (50lbs) per item, to meet the health and safety requirements for drivers handling luggage. All bookings are subject to Ambassador Cruise Line’s Booking Terms and Conditions. Guests must present a valid coach voucher before boarding. We reserve the right to refuse carriage if a valid ticket or proof of booking cannot be shown. Guests are required to arrive at the designated departure point at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. The coach will depart at the scheduled time and cannot be delayed for late-arriving passengers. Guests will be provided with their allocated time of pick up, along with the designated pick-up point via our ‘My Ambassador Sailing’ or the ‘My Ambassador App’ approximately 21 days prior to departure, however, please note that these may be subject to change until 48 hours before. Some routes will have an early morning pick-up and evening drop off times after the cruise.
